Windsor Castle is busiest from opening and throughout the morning. We have introduced timed tickets to manage the number of visitors inside The King’s official residences and galleries, so it is essential that groups pre-book an arrival time in advance of their visit. Groups can reserve and book tickets on our website or by calling the Ticket Sales and Information Office on +44 (0)303 123 7321. Please note that a £2.00 transaction fee is applied to all telephone bookings.
When you arrive, you will be required to pass through an airport-style security check. In order to speed up this process, please carry as few bags and items with you as possible.
In a change to previous booking conditions for Windsor Castle, it is now possible for groups of 15 or more to book on the day of their visit, both in person or by telephone (subject to availability). Online bookings for the same day remain off sale.
Group reservations must be paid for by credit card or company cheque, 30 days before the visit date.
We accept the following credit cards:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- JCB
- Switch/Maestro
- Diners Club
Company cheques should be made payable to 'Royal Collection Enterprises Limited'.
Coach parking
Pay-and-display coach parking is available on Alma Road in the town centre and is clearly signed from all approach routes. A lift takes visitors from the coach park to Windsor & Eton Central Station, which is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Admissions Centre and Castle entrance.
Coaches can't set down or pick up passengers at the entrance to Windsor Castle.
Further information about coach parking can be found on the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead website.
